I officially began my life as a tech, up to my elbows in b0rken computers.
And judging from some of the shit I've already seen, I may well become a regular contributor to TechTales in the near future. Oy.
Today's highlights: the mysterious box that refused to boot for its owner but came on nice as you please for us (she took it home, returned later saying it still wouldn't boot for her, and that time it didn't boot for us either; temp fixed by opening the case and wiggling the processor and power supply cables, permanent fix pending); Boss #1 waxing nostalgic while Other Tech and I gawked and wowed over an ancient 27" monitor brought in by one customer.
