Sep. 13th, 2005 08:43 pmLately, Kroger's (and Wal-Mart) have had these little packs of smoked Nova salmon for like $3. I bought one pack Friday to try it out. Here's how that went:
Me: ........eh. *nibble* ... ... ... ... OMG TEH YUM *break out soy sauce and wasabi* ARR UMM NUM NUM oh wait I should make rice and stuff.
So I bought two more packs Sunday afternoon. Most of one of them is now in front of me, in two forms:
1. Yummy fish + Sriracha + little dollop of mayonnaise = spicy salmon hand roll and DAMN, this salmon is good with that hot shit on it.
2. Plain old salmon roll. And I'm especially proud of this because I could not find my Dumb Gaijin Sushi Rolling Kit bits and had to do it the right way. With the little mat. And I did not fuck it up. Or mangle it when I went to slice it. \m/, I say.
The rest of the pack just became sashimi.
