I agree, Bowman isn't a ...how'd you put it? "Closet gaywad." Right. He's got too much attitude to be a closet anything. Except maybe a closet square dancer. Because, man, if that ever got out, he'd never hear the end of it.
But I digress.

He's married. yes. Very happily, in fact. Given the choice between anyone I've written/scened him boinking and his wife, his wife would win hands-down any day. (and just for the record: we have more logs containing Bowman/Celine smut than Bowman-slash logs and fics combined, and if someone were to sprout a Nineh, the het-to-slash ratio would skyrocket).
So yes, he's happily married. However, he and his wife don't consider "sleeping with other people" == "cheating." As long as it's just playing around and there's no serious attachment, with a couple of exceptions (Celine, for one). So, no, he's not a "closet gaywad." In this particular universe, again, your mileage may vary, he's bisexual with a preference for women and a wife that is open-minded enough to understand this sort of thing.
And yes, I have known real-life couples like this. There are some people to whom "married" is not automatically synonymous with "100% straight" and/or "100% monogamous."
