chaobellOkay, this is officially the worst computer I've ever worked on.
Will not boot from floppy, boots to c: prompt. Yes, BIOS is set up such that it should at least make a valiant attempt to boot from floppy. Once it gets to the c: prompt, it doesn't even acknowledge the a: drive.
On top of that, the CD-ROM drive opens when it feels like it, it's a 486DX-33 with no onboard IDE controller and no PCI slots--if the IDE controller is bad and we can't dig up a working ISA one, this box is pretty well screwed.
And just when I thought I'd seen the worst ever--I found a piece of gum in the machine. Yes, gum, as in chewing gum, well-chewed. Stuck on the side of the drive cage, teeth marks and all. I think it was Doublemint. EEEEWWWWWWWW. I did scrape that off and toss it out, mostly because I couldn't stand to look at it.
