chaobellMy thoughts on the last bits of Sui2 AND the last two episodes of X!
Sui2:
1. Holy shit, Shu actually put his own ass on the line.
2. I [heart] Bob. Seriously.
3. The "I can't be emperor/king/El Presidente/whatever yet" ending with Jowy snuffing it? Ow.
4. I must have walked past Tessai five bazillion times and never noticed him. BAH. Oh well, replay.
5. I think it's safe to say that there is no way in Hell one could get all 108 stars on the first playthrough sans a walkthrough.
6. Dammit, McDohl, why must you haul ass back to Gregminster every time the game forces you out of the party?
7. Screw you all, especially you, Luc. I like my tortoise-tortoise-tortoise-dragon mascot.
8. Hex dolls and graffiti in the baths. Hee hee.
9. Flik and Viktor in the baths! Even better!
10. Wakaba could kick her master's ass.
And X23 and 24:
1. Dear CLAMP: Oh my God! You killed Sorata! YOU BASTARDS! Damn your eyes, you made me cry.
2. I was much relieved to see that Seiichirou and Kusanagi did not, in fact, croak.
3. Nataku gibs. Eeeeew.
4. Depressing as the ending was, it beats the movie's by a far, far sight. Except you can't giggle at Kamui making Fuuma's head sing the ending song here.
5. I think it was Arielle that mentioned that the ending left things wide open for Subaru/Fuuma. I think she's right.
6. Nice to see that the Truly Good and Decent Dragons of Earth didn't die. Well, Kakyou might have, it's hard to tell.
7. I am not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed that Disembodied Eyeball-san did not appear in the series.
8. If I were Yuzuriha, there would have been a serious catfight on as soon as Arashi set foot in that room.
9. I seriously doubt that CLAMP, even with all the crack they must have smoked to generate those last few episodes, would spoil the manga with the series or the movie. So I think it's safe to say we now know another way the manga will not end.
10. Overall, I still fellate this series. It's had some "wtf!?" moments, but all in all, it kicked copious amounts of ass. The characters had personalities, the scenes that were meant to be funny were very funny, the scenes that were meant to be angsty were, and the scenes that were meant to make the viewer cringe and eep in wide-eyed horror did. The music was good, the art was pretty, and as I've said before, it had an opening theme that actively Did Not Suck. It places in my Top Three, alongside Star Ocean EX and Eva, and I [heart] [heart] [h34rTz] it.
