You are getting those errors because you have roughly ZERO free space on your C: drive at any given moment. That is also why your printer refuses to print, I'll wager.
Little hint: Win98 + <2GB hard drive + fifty bazillion games including UO + whatever cracked-out compression utility you've used = asking for trouble.
