May. 7th, 2002 10:17 pmDEAR GOD.
These are officially THE BEST DAMN VEGGIEBURGERS I HAVE EVER EATEN. Morningstar Farms Tomato & Basil Pizza Burgers, to be precise. They don't taste entirely like meat, and I don't care. I'll take these over the real thing any day.
and mmmmmm I just ran into a great big mushroom right smack dab in the middle of it ARR UMM NUM NUM
Since a couple of people, both online and IRL have asked--HELL NO I HAVEN'T SWORN OFF MEAT. I like meat. I love meat. But I've been eating the hell out of veggieburgers mostly due to ease of preparation and convenience. Heat up a little olive oil, throw !burger in pan, maybe with some onions if I feel like it. Or, in a pinch, poke a hole in the little pouch it lives in and nuke it. Also, red meat in excess--how do I put this delicately--doesn't stay with me very long. This, like my metal allergy, is thanks to my mom's genes. Up till the discovery of the Morningstar pizza !burger, I would have taken a Jumbo Jack over a Boca Burger without hesitation. Now, I'm not so sure.
In other news, I tried the Morningstar !burger crumbles in some Hamburger Helper last night. I think I cooked the crumbles with a little too much soy sauce. Less soy sauce, more salsa. There.
...I may have to go in there and cook up another one of these. My god, they're good.
