Mom and Stepdad will be taking my bike in to get fixed tomorrow; meanwhile, Mom is giving me a ride to work. And they fed me lunch. (I also got Stepdad a Father's Day card, because all three of my stepbrothers are complete fucking bastards who completely ignore him, but anyway) Stepdad offered me a computer, which was gathering dust in the garage. Said computer turned out to be an ancient and huge IBM. On the front, it proudly proclaimed that it was a screaming fast 8086. I told him to give it to Mom and let her turn it into a planter. He said he figured that was about all it was good for.
But now that I think about it, if the motherboard would fit it, it'd be a hell of a lot of fun to use that case for the box I'm going to build.
Then I went over to Dad and Stepmom's to deliver his card, and got fed dinner. And they gave me a bike tool kit.
Bike should be feeling better by the time I get off work tomorrow.
Also, on Friday, we got a box in to fix that was in the coolest case I have ever seen in person. Black. Window on one side. Those nifty round braided-steel-shrouded IDE cables. Red lights inside. Mirror in the bottom so you could see up into the guts. On the other side was a clear case fan with strategically placed green, blue, and purple LEDs. On the front was a door to hide standard cream-colored CD-ROM drives (he had three) and such, and an "Evil Inside" sticker. On top was an AMD "Whoopass Inside" sticker. Boss #1 had to get pictures. Guy told me he did the mods himself and that the unmolested cases are no more expensive than the plain ugly ones we get, come in every color you can think of, and he'd be willing to mod one for me if I wanted. Oh hell yes.
