They were just grilling some cunt from TXDoT about why, when the order was given THIRTEEN+ HOURS AGO, the major arteries leading out of Houston were still not opened up fully one-way. Said cunt claimed I-45 was one-way all the way up.
BULLSHIT. THAT IS A LIE. THAT IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL GODDAMN LIE. Bits of it have been opened up, to the tune of a lane or two on the other side of the highway, and it hasn't done a whole hell of a lot of good, but no. I-45 is not, I repeat, NOT ONE-WAY ALL THE WAY UP, AND THIS BITCH IS LYING.
Said cunt has also dropped what I believe may be the first "we're not going to play the blame game" bomb of the Rita clusterfuck festival. So hey, I'll play the blame game! TXDoT was ordered to make this happen. TXDoT did not make it happen in any kind of timely manner. Therefore, this whole shitstorm going on right now with the traffic is 100% TXDoT's goddamn fault.
She's just been made to look like a jackass on national TV, though, so it's all good. Well, aside from the fact that we can't get out of here, anyway.
So unless something drastic happens to the traffic situation soon, we're not going to be able to go anywhere. Mom's next-door neighbors tried. They had to turn around and come back, because they were. not. moving. We have a full tank of gas, but that's not the problem--the problem comes when we run OUT of gas after going 1 MPH all day and night and none of the stations have Drop One of gas left. Better to ride it out here than in a car in the middle of I-45.
