A customer needed a tape drive. 4/8GB Travan, to be precise.

I soon found out that this was an endangered species. Tech Data showed that their California appendage had two on order...with an ETA of 01/01/2010.

Sure, the client won't mind waiting a few years. It's just his backup!

No, seriously, it's been replaced with a bigger capacity drive, which still reads the 4/8GB tapes, so it's all good.

The Penumbra (menumbra, fingers? I worry about you) site has moved here. The demo is here, and the .png needed to patch it is here. I may actually get off my ass and get Penumbra a domain.

Both sites undoubtedly have b0rken shit therein after the move, which I will bust ass to find and fix posthaste.

Dear venerable 13" TV,

I watch one show a week. One. That's all. Normally, I watch it at Dad and Stepmom's, as I tend to eat dinner there on Thursday nights. But when we go out to eat, like we did this evening, they usually take me straight home afterward. So I must enlist your aid to get my shameful mass media fix for the week. I know there's only so much you can do without cable, and unfortunately, I don't watch you enough to justify paying for it. But despite the fact that I live in what might as well be a large concrete box, you do a fine job of grabbing the signal out of the air. I get Fox, I get 11, I get 13, I get 20, I get 39, I get 55, I get the holy-roller channel.

So please tell me why, for the love of God, why, you refuse to pick up Channel 2. THE ONE CHANNEL I WATCH.
