chaobellThere is this guy, Nick Greenlee, aka Peacer. He has made (and just freshly finished) a Silent Hill CG fanmovie entitled No Escape.
I just finished watching the last two parts.
I will declare the movie "fucking awesome" and leave it at that. Huge downloads, but damn well worth it.
I warn you, some of the animation in the first part or two is a little iffy, but stay with it because after that he gets way better, and keeps improving at an astounding rate. I also warn you that some bits will scare the ever-loving shit out of you.
This dude is entirely self-taught. He is also apparently made entirely of win.
